Macrobid (Furadantin) Capsules contain 100mg of the active ingredient, Nitrofurantoin (in the anhydrous and monohydrate form) and are supplied to pharmacists in blister packs of 14 capsules. The capsule also contains talc, corn starch, lactose, carbopol, povidone, sucrose and magnesium stearate. The capsule shell contains gelatin, sodium lauryl sulphate and colourings quinoline yellow (E104), titanium dioxide (E171) and FD and C Blue No. 2 (E132).
